Webinar on "Mathematics in Industry: Challenges and Frontiers"
On June 3, 2020 a webinar on "Mathematics in Industry: Challenges and Frontiers" was organized by the Office of International Affairs at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, Gujarat, India with several distinguished speakers including EU-MATHS-IN president Wil Schilders. SICON call for papers
The "SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization (SICON)" seeks submissions for a special section on mathematical modeling, analysis, and control of epidemics. Submissions will be accepted from July 1 to October 1, 2020. Fraunhofer ITWM vs. Corona
Fraunhofer ITWM has launched several projects and activities to help fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. In the project EpideMSE, for example, researchers are developing a model-based decision support tool for politicians at the local level. Hans Georg Bock elected as foreign member of the Russian Academy of Sciences
It is with great pleasure that we announce that KoMSO chairman Hans Georg Bock was elected as a foreign member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, thus acknowledging, among other things, his contributions in the field of optimal control.
